Allantoin	Natural ingredient derived from the comfrey plant that helps to soothe, relieve dryness, and heal wounds through promoting skin regeneration.
Aloe Vera Oil	Extract of aloe vera into soybean oil. Used in alternative medicine for its soothing and healing properties.
Argan Oil	Conditioning oil from Morocco that is rich in vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and anti-oxidants.  Known as "liquid gold" in Europe, it is rejuvenating for dry or mature skin.  Proceed with care if used for skin prone to acne.
Avocado Butter	Rich, soft butter prepared from avocado fruit. Has a slight greenish tinge and a mild aroma. Melts on the skin and highly conditioning.
Borage Seed Oil	Delicate oil extracted from the seeds of the borage plant. Has highest concentration of gamma linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid, of any plant source.
Cocoa Butter	Aromatic butter extracted from cocoa beans. Contains natural anti-oxidants that prevent rancidity and works as an excellent moisturizer and skin softener.
Coconut Oil	Mediumweight oil extracted from the dried flesh of coconuts. Highly moisturizing.
Co-enzyme Q10	Potent anti-oxidant that helps to guard skin against free radical damage. Naturally occurs in the body but levels decline with age.
Coffee Butter	Semi-soft, aromatic butter created from the hydrogenation of coffee oil. Highly emollient with a silky skin feel. Does not contain caffeine.
Evening Primrose Oil	Mediumweight oil pressed from the seeds of the Evening Primrose plant. Highly emollient and rich in essential fatty acids.
Glycerin (vegetable derived)	Natural humectant that draws moisture from the air to the skin. Also an emollient and imparts a soft feel to skin.
Grapeseed Oil	Light, moisturizing oil pressed from the seeds of grapes. Non-allergenic.
Green Tea Extract	Polyphenols and methylxanthines in the extract are anti-oxidants and protect against collagen degradation.
Hyaluronic Acid	Sugar compound (glycosaminoglycan) found in high concentrations in skin and other tissues. Its unique ability to bind large amounts of water provide a skin plumping effect.
Isopropyl Myristate	Light, non-greasy emollient created from the reaction of isopropanol with myristic acid (vegetable sourced). Helps reduce greasiness of lotions and creams and improve their skin feel texture.
Jojoba Oil	Light liquid wax extracted from the nuts of the jojoba plant.  Excellent emollient for skin due to its chemical similarity to human sebum which our body naturally secretes to protect the skin.
Kojic Acid	By-product from the fermentation of rice. Blocks melanin formation through inhibiting the action of an enzyme, tyrosinase.
Kukui Nut Oil	Light, fast absorbing oil pressed from the nuts of Hawaii's official state tree. Rich in vitamins, anti-oxidants, and fatty acids, with a silky skin feel.
Lacto Ceramide	Naturally occurring skin lipids that have an important function in maintaining the barrier properties of skin and preventing moisture loss.
Licorice Extract	Extract of licorice roots. Blocks melanin formation through inhibiting the action of an enzyme, tyrosinase. Also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Macademia Nut Butter	Rich, emollient butter obtained from the seeds of the Macadamia Ternifolia tree.  Rich in omega-7 palmitoleic acid.
Mango Butter	Rich, moisturizing butter extracted from mango kernels. Excellent skin lubricant rich in fatty acids.
Meadowfoam Oil	Mediumweight oil pressed from the seeds of the Meadowfoam plant, a renewable crop that requires less fertilizers and pesticides than most crops. Highly moisturizing and stable, it helps to extend the shelf life of other oils in the formulation.
Natural Moisturizing Factor	The components of natural moisturizing factor (NMF) are lactic acid, urea, and sodium PCA. These water soluble compounds occur naturally in the skin and help to hold on to moisture, keeping the skin hydrated.
Olive Squalane	Elegant hydrocarbon derived from olive oil that is chemically similar to human sebum. High emolliency due to good skin penetration and spreadability.
Plum Kernel Oil	Light, nourishing oil with a pleasant nutty aroma pressed from plum pits. Rich in vitamins and fatty acids with a soft skin feel.
Retinyl Palmitate	Ester of vitamin A that is converted to retinol after skin uptake and aids in skin regeneration.
Rosehip Seed Oil	Mediumweight, fast absorbing oil extracted from the seeds of a Chilean rose plant. Contains high amounts of essential fatty acids, vitamins A and E. Has been shown to improve the texture and appearance of wrinkles and dry/damaged skin.
Safflower Oil	Light, highly moisturizing oil extracted from the seeds of safflower, a plant native to the Mediterranean.
Salicylic Acid	Beta hydroxy acid with anti-acne, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Exfoliates dead skin debris and removes bacteria from pores, lessening blockages and breakouts.
Shea Butter	Rich, thick butter extracted from the fruit of the African Karite tree. Intensely moisturizing, helps condition and protect dry skin.  Also offers low level of UV protection.
Sunflower Oil	Light, relatively fast absorbing oil pressed from sunflower seeds rich in essential fatty acids.
Sweet Almond Oil	Mediumweight, highly emollient oil pressed from almonds.
Tamanu Oil	Thick oil extracted from the whole organic nuts of the Polynesian Tamanu tree.  Prized for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and ability to heal damaged skin. The oil has a slightly medicinal, nutty scent and will impart a greenish hue to your potion.
Titanium dioxide	Broad spectrum physical sunscreen. May thicken texture of potion and be slightly tacky to touch.
Vitamin B3	Essential nutrient in skin renewal processes.  May also reduce age spots and hyperpigmentation if used with Retinyl Palmitate.
Vitamin C (Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate)	Potent anti-oxidant that stimulates collagen production and aids in overall skin function and regeneration. Also used in skin lightening because of its ability to suppress UV-induced melanin formation.
Vitamin E	Popular anti-oxidant that has skin soothening and protective properties.
Wheat Germ Oil	Rich, thick oil containing a plethora of vitamins, fatty acids, protein, and minerals. Has a dark color and distinct aroma. Do not use with gluten or wheat allergies.
